Fueling Local Business: LB 840 USDA Grant
Introducing Business Technical and Financial Assistance

We are pleased to share updates on the Economic Development initiatives that support local business growth in the Tilden area. In November 2022, registered Tilden voters approved its Local Economic Development Program (LB 840) designed to support local businesses. This program will allocate a portion of the funds raised to provide business loans to Tilden area entrepreneurs who may not have conventional access to commercial bank financing.  In addition, in the summer of 2023, the City of Tilden received exciting news from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). The City was awarded $95,000 to enhance the amount of funds available for Tilden area businesses. These programs have currently made approximately $120,000 in loan funds accessible to Tilden area businesses. Monthly additions to these funds will be made through the LB 840 sales tax program.
